Next Q. What player has his name on the Stanley Cup the most? How many times? Probably too easy. Don't look it up though. |

I would think players like Cournoyer or Beliveau would have to be close behind, they played around the same time...

I was bored...
My first guess was Glen Murray, but he's a little higher than that (320 + 301).
Then I thought it might be Iggy, but he's a bit higher too (322 + 339)
Now I gave up... :) |

This is a tough one... do you mean NHL career or combined career? Just regular season or playoffs included? |

Yeah it's actually impossible. I made an error. Apparently I was looking at an out of date page of stats when I posted the question. I googled Iginla's stats and the nhl plage came up and I assumed it was up to date but nope. If you go to the NHL site first and search by player you get the current stats. Sorry about the confusion.

Just got my new NHL Official Guide and Record book 2007. Jarome Iginla had 285 goals and 285 assists at the end of the 2005-06 season, for a total of 570 points. There is no player in the NHL that could have reached 285 goals and 285 assists this season...
I took to long to type my response, you beat me to it...

Ha, funny story actually.
It got brought up at conversation that I was having with my friend about a month ago. We were wondering what the fastest goal ever in regulation was. Sure enough we looked it up online and that record was also there beside it. |

When the Vancouver Canucks re-acquired Trevor Linden in 2001, they traded a first round pick. Who did the Capitals select with this pick?

So I'll ask one then, who was the first Czech-born player to ever record a 50 goal season?

No, not Jagr
I think he was the only other Czech player to ever do so. If you want to, look it up.

I just went through all of the 50 goal scorers and unless it's a trick question the only Czech born player is Jagr. Are you including playoffs in the total? Are you talking NHL only?

The only other Czech born player is Milan Hejduk who scored 50 goals in 2002-03, Jagr scored 62 in 1995-96.
But you asked for the first Czech player...

The answer is Petr Neved, he scored 65 in the WHL in 89-90. Had to look it up.
He never said scored 50 in the NHL.

Your right, I guess. But I checked 5 different sites and books! Too bad I didn't check my hockey cards sooner. Everywhere else said Hejduk.
