The Canucks are currently leading the NHL in both (most) GF and (least) GA, and althoug it is close they have a real shot at finishing this way. I searched through the last 10 years, and no team has accomplished that feat in those 10 years.

Does anyone know if another team has done that in recent history, and if so when?

My first guess would be those Wings in the late 90s and early 2000s. If not them, then the next best bet are the 70s Habs. I'm sure the team that had less than 10 losses or 130 points (before the no shootout) would be your best bet.

It was the 77/78 Canadiens, 359 GF and 183 GA. They also did it the year before that.
