You have an original hockey team like Toronto and rearrange the letters to make it different
(Make sence though)

Toronto could be Notrot Not the greatest but i bet you guys could think of betters

Toronto=Ton o' Rot LOL!

What I always do is spell 'em backwards and see how weird they can get.

Buffalo=Olaffub (If the Red Wings were in Buffalo we'd call 'em the Buffalo Wings )
Colorado=Odaroloc
Ottawa=Awatto
Boston=Notsob
Detroit=Tiorted
Minnesota=Atosennim
Calgary=Yraglac (looks like the name of some Slavic town or something)
Columbus=Submuloc

Now for rearranging the letters...
Los Angeles=Lose angles
Anaheim=Ah, Maine!
San Jose=Jon's seas
Montreal=La remote

I bet nerds up in Edmonton call their team the Edmonton Eulers! LOL (If you don't get that, Euler was a famous mathematician and his last name is pronounced "Oiler")

I know they don't have a team, but...
Saskatoon=Nootaksas (sounds like "new taxes" lol)
