They were about the size; but my pick would have to be Hayley as the tougher player. Her game was a combination of speed skill and toughness and she never needed a bodyguard. She also didnt stay near center ice waiting for a pass -Thoughts?

i think I understand what you are asking but the way you phrased this is rediculous. And with all due respect to Hayley you can't compare international women's hockey to the NHL. Wayne.

I think if they ever faced each other in a real game, Hayley would demolish him....and if he ever hit her back, I'm sure her girlfriend would come to her defense!

Hayley:
-In the Gold Medal game of the 2006 Winter Olympics, Hayley played with a broken wrist. = TOUGH
-Hayley had 12 points in 23 games in a mens league = TOUGH
-Hayley had the best faceoff percentage in that mans league = TOUGH
Wayne:
-Getting hacked, slashed, hit, pushed, punched, elbowed, cross checked by guys much bigger than him for 1487 regular season games, and managing to score 2857 points = TOUGH
-Returning form the vicious Gary Suter cross check = TOUGH
Sure Hayley played a different style than Wayne, and that style could be called tougher. But saying it is more manly is kinda weak dude. Are you trying to say she is a big dyke? Did you not see the Hamburger Helper ads - she makes her husband and kids some greasy ground beef and mixes in some mac and cheese. Just because she could kick your ass doesn't mean she is manly.
I dont have a problem with Wayne needing a bodyguard. If I was in his shoes, I would want one. Seriously, who wants to get the crap kicked out of you all the time. People who can fight - fight. People who can score - score. And his waiting at center ice for a pass is just plain false. He had almost 2000 frikin assists. His game was all about his vision. His ability to make plays and make people around him better.
