The first to play 100 games without a shutout is Beaupre not Redd***...

Yes, I think it is PeterPuck. He is so great! I have a book about him but it says nothing about him being the first though.

I believe Harvey the Hound is correct. Because Peter Puck wasn't a mascot for an NHL team?? But if he's the first one i'm officially going to call this forum, "Patchy's first!! Featuring Pucknuts. lol.

No Peter Puck was not a mascot, I did not even know any teams in the NHL really had mascots...

Yeah, he sorta was a mascot. He was in a book and he was a cartoon charater. That makes him a mascot.... I think.

Peter Puck actually had nothing to do with the NHL, he was property of NBC, and then the CBC. He was a concept of Brian McFarlane...

Aubrey "Dit" Clapper was the first player to play 20 years...he did it with Boston and he was a defenseman at the end of his career

Yes Dit Clapper was a defenceman, but 8 out of the 20 years he was a forward...

Neat question, at one time the NHL had overtime that was not sudden death, must have been before your time...

Yea sometime between the 40's and the 70's it was kind of like b-ball is now, they played a full 10-min overtime, not sudden death.

The one about the defenseman playing 20 seasons?? Yes because even though he played some of it as a forward, Dit Clapper is the answer.

Ok so it's been a while since I've posted so I'll update my trivia. I'll let the other unanswered question stay but I'll give two new ones for now.
1) Who was the first female goaltender to win a game?
2) First goalie to lose 100 more games than he won (hint: it was after 1970)

1) Manon Rheaume, NHL exhibition?
2) Ron Low, was with Washington during their dismal start?

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.
