He's not an NHL coach nor is he still alive, but I would have to say Herb Brooks. (Go watch Miracle if you have no clue who I'm talking about) |

Pat Burns for sure man. But for Cherry he knows more about hockey than anyway other guy out there but still not sure about the coaching doe, Coach's Corner Best show on TV EVER!!!

Herb Brooks wasn't known as an NHL coach, but his last gig was in the NHL with Pittsburgh and I think he coached in the league at other points during his life. He was an incredible coach, though it didn't do much for the Pens in the pre-Crosby era. Bowman may be a better hockey mind, but not as great of an inspirational individual as Brooks. That said, I have no idea who my favorite coach is. Perhaps Bryan Trottier because he coached me at a camp I attended when I was younger. |

The best coach ever is Jacques Demers. I remember when he coached my little Lyle. He help him to be the great player he was.

Main word there is was. Actually great may not even be the greatest word to use in a sentence about Lyle Odelien. Mediocre should suffice.

My favourite coach was Bob Gainy because he coached the Habs and lead them to a pretty good season. |
