Poll Question:
I am having a hard time understanding what people think is acceptable self defense. In the Should Tootoo get suspended thread, there are a number of people saying that Tootoo's actions were justifiable as it was self defense. My perspective is that is was a sucker punch. What do you think???

Also comment on your choice please.

Choices:
Was it a sucker punch?
Was it self-defense??

The video I watched was Robidas going to check Tootoo (his hands were well below Tootoo's head) and before the hit happened, Tootoo hit him sqaure in the face. Think about it logically, if Robidas hands were in a position to hit Tootoo in the head, how would it be possible for Tootoo to hit him first?? Watch the video again, here it is.

Is that what we want to see in hockey? Do you think that (insert star player of your choice here) was about to check (insert your most hated player here) and hated player punched your favorite star in the face and knocked him out it would be acceptable???


That's not hockey. That was a cheap shot! It's crappy goon hockey that has no place in the NHL.

Self-defense. I believe I explained myself clearly enough in the other thread. Put yourself in that position. Guess YOU'RE the one getting KO'd based on your view.
