- Take out the instigator rule
- Ditch the shoot out
- Let Goalies play the puck again
- Bring a few teams back to Canada
- More East/West games
- Soft shell elbow and shoulder pads

I say they should keep it the same but cut down a lot on the penalties. AND NEVER THINK OF TAKING FIGHTING OUT OF THE GAME!!!!!!
might as well watch figure skating if they do

I agree with all of those except for ditching the shootout, I personally love watching shootouts especially when it gets down to sudden death and it goes on for like 10 rounds and everyshot you think is gonna end the game then the goalie comes up with a big save or hits the post then the team your cheering for scores and your like YES! and then the next guy comes on and scores and your like AW SH!T and so on. |

Maybe they could go back a little specially on penalties in the beginning off the new rules It was kind of funny but I’m not laughing anymore.
I used to love watching Hockey now I just really really like it. lol

I dont feel they should change any of it, Have any of you guys ever been to a game that has gone to a shootout? It is just so so exciting you cant imagine, 18540 ppl on there feet, magical.

I would like to see only two changes with the NHL.
!0 Change the schedule to have more east vs. west games
2) And take out the stupid trapiziod behind the net and let the goalies play the puck anywhere. BUT, if the goalie leaves his crease, he is suseptable to getting hit like any other player. In the crease, protected. Outside of the crease, open season! |

I completley agree with that, It is so unfair that a player gets punished when the goalie goes outside the crease.

Like everyone else, I agree... BUT for...
Let Goalies play the puck again - I totally agree, but have it so that if the goalie is out the the crease, they are fair game!
Soft shell elbow and shoulder pads - Can't agree here. I see your point, but players are so much bigger, faster and stronger that there would be far too many shoulder and elbow injuries. Your plan is a good one, but it would do more harm than good. |

I completely agree with Leigh about the pads. The hard shell pads are what are causing alot of the more serious injuries. Players think they're invincible in the things. As to players getting hurt if they didn't wear them because the players are bigger and stronger? well look at Chelios. He's been wearing the same shoulder pads for over 20 years. He seems just fine. |

i think they should loosen up on the hooking calls, let the goalies play the puck, goalis should be able to get hit, keep fighting, and keep the shootouts because it is really fun to watch.
Forget about style; worry about results.

Loosen up the hooking calls and you will get NHL from the 90's. Boring, stupid trap games that attract no fans.
And the soft pads I totally agree with. Maybe these guys would hit each other so hard if they actually felt the hit they are giving themselves. Also, the hardened plastic parts of pads is like skating around with weapons. |
