Poll Question:
Which coach is most likely to get fired in the off season? If you feel there is more than one option choose the one you think will be fired first.

Choices:

Paul Maurice (Toronto Maple Leafs)
Joel Quenneville (Colorado Avalanche)
Marc Crawford (LA Kings)
Peter Laviolette (Carolina Hurricanes)
Craig MacTavish (Edmonton Oilers)
Jacques Martin (Florida Panthers)
Ted Nolan (New York Islanders)
Other (specify)

If the leafs dont make the playoffs, Maurice will probably go. Ted Nolan shouldnt go because he is a good coach.

Just a suggestion but you might want to put the teams by the names.

As much as I hate to this, but I think MacT will get the boot. They have to make some changes in the off-season, and I think he'll be first to go. I think LA will hang on to Marc Crawford, because they are only going to get better, once Kopitar and Frolov get some more miles under them and their team builds around them. But as far as the Oilers go, there are no excuses for the type of season they have had. Yes, they had injuries to deal with, but a team with as much depth as they have, they should have been able to stay at at least around the 8th spot.

GO OIL!!! YA!!!

I believe, unfortunately for the oil, that MacT already signed an extension this year.

I have to say that Maurice will stay, he's been doing great with the team this year, we've just had bad luck with injuries etc..nothing to do with Paul. But I think Quenneville will be next to go. The avs should be doing much better.

No Quenneville shouldn't go. The Avs are in "Rebuild" mode right now and I think they should stick it out with him. They will make the playoffs next year as long as Budaj is their starter and not Theodore (barring any big goalie trades).

Maurice will stay. He is not what is wrong with the Leafs, it's one step higher. But of course JFJr. seems to be there to stay and as long as he is, he can deflect the blame elsewhere and make someone else, like Quinn or Maurice, his scapegoat.

Martin has to go. Florida is a unbelievably under-performing team. They have been "rebuilding" for a while now with nothing to show for it.

Marc Crawford should stay as well. LA is also in "Rebuild" mode and so is Boston, who said that Lewis was staying for next year.

Paul Maurice said before the start of the season that the Leafs will struggle to make the playoffs, and he is right, he is in his first year with them, and is cleaning up the Quinn mess, why would you let him go???

I think Graig MacTavish will be the one to go, Edmonton will not be in the playoffs, his time is up...

The best way to convince a fool that he is wrong is to let him have his own way...

Also, what do you guys think of Gretzky? Do you think he will be let go if Phoenix has another season like this one?

Gretz is an owner also, so I don't think anyone can fire him. Step-down maybe but I don't think he can be canned.

I think Laviolette will be the next to go. He's got a quality team including Stall, Brind Amour, Whitney, and ward but most likely wont get his team to the playoffs. And oh ya there the defending stanley cup champs.
