Would the following please "sign in" (post):

Kashmire
Framer87
Oil Country
Semin Rules
Patchy

I have randomly chosen the order above with my graphing calculator, as I have done for the other three drafts. Remember, this is a snake draft (1 through 5 then 5 through 1, etc.).

A reminder of the rules:
quote:
5 forwards, 3 defensemen and 1 goalie = 9 players. I don't think it's too much if the drafting gets done in a timely manner. When the GOAT draft rolled, it really rolled quickly so I think it's doable. Points would be simple:

1 point for:
Goal
Assist

2 points for:
Goalie win
Goalie shutout (extra)

The players may be chosen in any order. The drafting CAN begin now, as only the 8th spot in the East has not yet been decided. The NYI/NJ game should end around 6ET, where the draft could go on as usual. But because I had only said it would start tomorrow night, you should expect that some might not be able to log on (plus, it's Easter). If you want to wait for the 8th seed to be set to choose a player (either from Tor or NYI), that's fine, we can wait. Other than that, poolies who do not wish to choose from either of these teams and are next in their draft order may make their selections. The purpose of the time zones has become useless now, so were just separated in groups to facilitate drafting. If there is an equal number of poolies in each draft that show up, we will be able to merge all the drafts (once completed) to compete in one GIANT pool. Let me remind you of the playoff picture to date:

East
(1)Buffalo vs. (8)Tor/NYI (if they win today)
(2)New Jersey vs. (7)Tampa Bay
(3)Atlanta vs. (6)NYR
(4)Ottawa vs. (5)Pittsburgh

West
(1)Detroit vs. (8)Calgary
(2)Anaheim vs. (7)Minnesota
(3)Vancouver vs. (6)Dallas
(4)Nashville vs. (5)San Jose

Seeds (1)-(4) have home ice advantage in the first round. Detroit will have home ice advantage through the first three rounds (should they make it) and Buffalo will have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs, including the Stanley Cup Finals (should they make it).

Let the drafting begin!

Well everyone has started. This draft wasn't originally scheduled to start for another hour and a half or so but you guys can keep going as people post.

Framer, whenever you log on (hopefully soon), please try to stay available for a little while so the draft could take great strides in getting finished.

Here's what's going to happen if Framer doesn't show up:

1. Give him until 9:15ET. If he hasn't shown up by then, proceed to 2
2. Skip his choice in the draft every round until he shows up. If he shows up before the draft is over then: Proceed with the draft with him included for the following rounds until the draft is over. At the end of the draft, Framer will make however many picks that he forfeited in his absense.

IE: It's his turn in round 2 and it's past 9:15ET. The next pick will be Kashmire's, then the third round will go Kashmire, OC, SR and Patchy and so forth until he returns. Say he comes back after his turn in round 5, then he will be re-included in the order for rounds 6-9 then he'll make 4 picks (2, 3, 4, 5) after everyone else has completed their teams.

These rules will apply to anyone who doesn't show up for their draft in time (#1 will be 15 minutes past the scheduled draft start time).

It sucks for him, but it's only fair to the other poolies and is still a pretty fair way to resolve this issue. In the mean time, everyone else stay available.
