pickuphockey lists crosby as having 8 points (2g 6a), tsn and nhl.com give him 9 (2g 7a).

How can this be corrected?

ESPN has him listed at 9 points as well, and they say he had 2 assists in this game...yet if you go through goal by goal, he's only listed as assisting on 1 goal, weird.

Crosby's assist was awarded after the fact and it was probably missed due to his being on the bench when the goal was scored. p/u should update the stats soon

Crosby has 9 points, he was awarded the second assist on the Jordan Staal goal which was originally only assisted by Malkin but it was Crosby who touched the puck last before Malkin got it.

was watchin the game and was laughing cuz I thought of course they would give crosby the assist only to be surprised when they didnt. The defender broke up the passjust as it got to crosby and lost the puck to malkin

As I've told anyone who has emailed...

"The NHL added an additional assist for Crosby on Sunday afternoon (from Saturday’s game). The point was added in our system Tuesday morning during our regular stats audit. You will see it in the stats tomorrow (Wednesday)"

Also what I write...

"We constantly audit the points in our system to adjust statistical changes made by the NHL (they often change assists, goals, PIMs, +/-, etc.) We do this every day all season long with 100% of the NHL players. Sometimes there are lots of changes and other times there are few or even none.

In addition we do a final reconciliation the day after the final games of the season to ensure that any last changes by the NHL are adjusted and the stats in our system are 100% correct."
