Poll Question:
If you play hockey (I'm assuming most people here do) what is your favourite brand of hockey equipment. Specify if you like a certain brand for a certain piece of a equipment.
Always next year!!

Im a CCM kid but I got RBK skates abd I love them. I might be converting to a RBK lover.
When life gives you lemons throw them at the Ottawa Senators and their fans and hope it gets them in the eyes ;) |

I love my Bauer skates (even though they only cost about $120 at Canadian Tire). They're the most comfortable pair of skates I've ever worn and even though the blade is a little worn, I don't play any kind of important hockey for it to matter too much.
The only other brand I TRULY care about when selecting gear (other than that I just pick what's nice and mid-range price) is that my hockey blades HAVE to be CCM Vectors. Just the wooden ones with the silver graphite coating. I have never chipped or broken one because the surface that's on the bottom simply shaves off instead of chipping, so your blade lasts much longer.
I did like the two Nike shafts I've owned. They were both pretty inexpensive and I still have them both (my old junior shaft for street hockey and my senior for ice) and they're great. |

My stick is CCM Vector with Recchi's name on it. I almost got CCM Vector skates but I liked the CCM 192 model better. They were only like $90 too. |

Since I am a goalie I voted other for Vaughn. It makes the best goalie pads and chest protector. I have Nike Bauer skates though and I really like those. |

Best Skates: Grafs, they were the first of their kind , where they'd mould your foot to them , wow, the day the graf goalie skate came out, I forced my dad to get em for me.
Best Pads: I really liked vaughn pads back in the day, but now Vaughn isn't so hot, when they came out with the velocity pads I was turned off, they're just rectangles that take up lots of space...I like the thinner pads guys like turco and brodeur wear (not the brands, but the style), those types are for the more arcrobatic goalies...so I went with the itech X-factors for my last pair........I know nothing about hockey gear post 2003, Reebok? isn't that a basketball thing hahahahha

Bauer, RBK and Vaughn makes the best goalie pads. Best goal and player sticks gotta be sherwood. They're so light and durable. I can't play with any other stick without breaking them. Especially CCM. They have very brittle sticks. |

Lol no wonder, Graf skates are like $400-$500! They're the most expensive brand I've seen. |

It also goes to show how well RBK has marketed their products in the last 2-3 years. Every kid now wants something RBK. |

And Sher-wood sticks...
If CCM was sponsering Crosby they would be the #1 choice.
