one has to think that CAN will beat FIN again - perhaps not 8-1, but they clearly outplayed them in their last meeting and should do so again.
The only thing that might hamper them is the dissappointment of losing the semi-final. Many a team has been deflated with that semi final loss, and unable to get up enough emotion to win the bronze. I hope Canada doesn't fall into that trap, they are a good enough team that they should medal. |

I think we'll win on talent alone. There's always the chance for a let down, but i think the fans will be behind them still and want to see them go home with a medal. I know it's not the one they came for, but it's better than being shut out (of the medals).
Finland should play them strong though. Even as deflated as they prob feel after the way they lost, a team like the Fins usually come to this type of tourney in hopes of ANY medal. |

Not many care who wins this game, unfortunately. Bronze is the (second) loser after all in many peoples eyes. Probably unfair to have these expectations for an annual tournament placed on 17-19 year olds, but not many countries can match the $'s we put into this team, so it is what it is. |

I've seen Canadian teams throw in the towel before in these circumstances, but I think the crowd will keep them from being as flat as they would be if this were held overseas.
Not to mention Finland's loss was just as crushing, if not worse. I give the edge to Canada in this one. |

Even though the FIN/SWE game was a little closer through most of the game, it's the combination of a loss at home, a 2nd year losing to russia, and the close comeback attempt from a 5 goal defecit that makes the Canadian loss more crushing. However, despite that I think that Canada will at least take home the bronze, and the crowd will be louder here than any other game so far, after all this is the last game of the tournament we have left to cheer for, so it's bronze or bust. GO CANADA!! |

Bronze is actually a medal you have to win to earn. Second loser is the Silver medal....it's more crushing to "win" a silver because you've won that medal by losing the final game.
IMO, it will be a good amount of satisfaction for those young kids to still be able to WIN a medal. |

Despite the show against Russia, Canada actually had solid goaltending through most of the tournament. I think a 4-0 win for bronze says that to. |
