| There guys, I found out how and I created the last 4 teams as AI. It said I have to wait until the next hourly update for that to take effect and then I guess I can decide when to start the season. So should I start it tonight, tomorrow...? |

What time should the games be?
My options are in Mountain time, so I was thinking 5:00PM (I can't pick 6 or 7  )? That would be:
-4PM Pacific
-6PM Central
-7PM Eastern
-8PM Atlantic
-8:30PM Newf.
It's hard because we're all across North America really (minus Mex) but I figured this would be the best time for EVERYONE (that I could choose from). I have just started the season.
So really, I'm not asking, I am just letting everyone know that I picked those times. Any earlier would be too hard for the Pacific zoners and any later would be nearing midnight over here. |

Pretty sure that once a game starts there is no human interaction, so the game times shouldn't matter too much.
The sooner we get the season started the better though, once things are rolling we might be able to pick up replacement franchises for the AI teams. |

Oh ok, then why don't I make game times during the day? That way when people get home from school/work they can check to see how their team did and then we could discuss it on here in the evening? What do you think?
EDIT: I changed the games for 11AM Mountain time, so 10AM Pacific, Noon Central, 1PM Eastern and 2PM Atlantic. I like this much better  !
And by the way, those of you who haven't signed your players/coach might want to do that ASAP cause I don't know how you'd be able to play without your team? |

Lots of reallys
Vancouver
...
Are these guests or what? They don't have any players signed or anything. If no one says whose teams these are then I will replace them with AI teams. |

I've already replaced that one.
I will replace the others for the time being but if that was your team (anyone), just create another one and I'll try to swap it for an AI. Although you might want to hurry because the season starts tomorrow. Don't just create a team either, you'll have to sign all your players/coach too. |

It doesn't take all that long and you don't play tomorrow so you have an extra day if you want...
Framer, you still need to sign your team too. You don't play tomorrow either...
If you guys can't/don't want to, then let me know and I'll replace you. Right now we're at 10 AI's and 10 human teams, lol. Wow. |

It looks like once you have your team set up it takes minimal time to upkeep. Signing your team and setting the lines will take an hour or so, then doing your financial and training maybe another 15 minutes.
After that you may need 15 minutes twice a week. It is mostly a a management game. the training that is done daily can be scheduled up to a month in advance, and is a simple two clicks per day, or no click if you decide to leave a day as a day off, so players can recover some health and morale. |

Whats all of your teams rated. My team is 69 and in the game previews it says that I can beat most teams except Winnepeg Sharks.
When life gives you lemons throw them at the Ottawa Senators and their fans and hope it gets them in the eyes ;) |

| I'm a 70 mainly because my defense is an 80 (goaltending is 57, offense is 72). I think only OC has better stats than me. |

| When I was signing players I took about two hours because I was picking players by roles more than overall. I have about 4 snipers, each are actually really good, I have some guys for the PP, I've got some strong faceoff men for my first line and the PK. I've got, I think, two big checkers and a coach with skill and potential. I also have two great young guns with a potential at 100%, one strong on the offence and one on the defense. I may no have a huge(don't fool yourself and think it's low though)overall but im sure my team has plenty off depth, something I was aiming for. And I'm sure many of you are over the cap while I made my team with a final salary of $19,888,444.00! |

My team is 67 overall.
Some of my d-men are 67 overall but they're only 81 on defense... Do you guys think that will matter too much?
BTW why are the IA teams so bad? |

A heads-up on that. I would be cautious about the pace of which you upgrade your facilities. Once you up-grade you cannot get the money back from it if you choose to down-grade after. It would be more convenient to wait untill your team has a steady chas flow after games and you are comfortable with you team salary. Be careful in this game. You can go bankrupt fast and I doubt you want to use many bank loans.
I will soon upgrade a bit so I have some extra stamina cause my backup goaltender isn't so good(needed a lower payed one so I could sign what I wanted under the cap gven). |

| Scroll down and it will say OFF on your players. Then switch them to on so they are on your roster then you can make your lines. |

Holy crap Oil, your team outshot your opponent 61-12 and had SIXTEEN POWERPLAYS??????????? And you only scored 3 goals, and were 2/16 on the PP. Geez, apparently you have very fast and inaccurate shooters, lol.

I think my team is rated something like 62, but I dont believe that that
is that important right now. We'll see how the teams look as the
season progresses and especially in the next few seasons to come.
I believe each season lasts about 90 days with a week off in between seasons.
I had to go the long-term strategy since by the time I joined the league, most people had already selected all their players and hence I only had the scraps to select from. ;) Luckly my boyz will turn into diamonds in the rough and all develop into stars! :)
