Here's a trivia question for the masses:

What brother combo once scored a combined 16 points in the same game?

NHL game? If so, was it an all star game or some game in which most of the Sutters all played for one team? Did they ever do a Sutters vs the rest all star game?

Only other one i could think of would be the Stastny's. Since there were three of them, i could see a possible 16 points but even that would be pretty high so i doubt it's them?

It was the Stastnys. Anton & Peter each had 8 points in the game.

Really? You sure Marion wasn't in on any??? I thought it was a bit of a trick question as it didn't say "pair of brothers" so i assumed it was 3 or more and there's not many of those! So, while i was wrong in thinking that it was Peter, Anton and Marion, i was right with my guess of the Stastny's? Lol. I'm assuming Marion didn't play then?

On February 22, 1981, Peter and Anton Stastny each had 8 points against Washington. Peter had 4G/4A, while Anton had 3G/5A.

Marion did not figure into the equation as he did not begin play in the NHL until 1981-82.

I heard this stat brought up following Sam Gagner's 8 point game earlier this season...wasn't aware of it until then. Crazy!
