Poll Question:
The 1st round is officially over! The New Jersey Devils have defeated the Florida Panthers in double overtime and will face Philly in the 2nd round.
Who will win and in how many?!

I'm going to have to say Devils in 7.Marty seems to play better with less down time.
Not going to be a fast series in my opinion at all. |

Flyers in 6, but Bryzgalof will have to make some saves this series.

Bryz will have to be better, but he won't face as much fire power as he did against the Pens. especially with Kovalchuk playing the way he is. did anyone see him skate last night? he must be injured.
I say Philly in 5 or 6. |

This is a real tough to pick, because the goalies are very uncertain. Will Brodeur hold up against the aweome firepower of Philly? Will Bryzgalov continue to be a sieve against the Devils?
I know that it won't be the sexy pick, but I am going to go . . . Devils. Better defence, and their offence was stifled against Florida - they won't have the same issues with Philly, they will score often I think. I do see a bunch of 4-3, 5-4 games though, but in the end . . . Brodeur will make the very big save when necessary, and regain the lustre on his magnificent career.

Let's be honest it's rockem sockem hockey that wins folks!!!
That's how bruins won last year, and what they didnt have this year!
That's how LA won against van and that's how flyers won against pens. They will rough up those Russians no doubt in my mind |

You'd be surprised at how rough Kovalchuk can play. Or are you talking about some other Russians, like . . . Bryzgalov? Or when he gets pulled . . . Bobrovsky?

| Devils in 6. Lots of experience, better goalie, team defense and I dont think Philly can play the series the way they did against Pitts. No way they score as many goals against New Jersey. |
