Poll Question:
I just want to see what you guys think. He had a steller two years but I don't think he can be considered a top 5. But some say he is...so what is it??
When life gives you lemons throw them at the Ottawa Senators and their fans and hope it gets them in the eyes ;)

Did you mean to lock this poll?
I say no. He's a solid goalie, but the top 5 belong to guys like Brodeur, Giguere, Luongo, Hasek, and Huet. |

No chance Mik, I'd take Lundqvist any day over Hasek and Huet. Personally I'd take him over Jiggy too, but that's me. I'd say he is probably 3rd or fourth in the league. Luongo is obviously the best, and well, I guess that's it. Probably right now, marty is better, but as henry gets a little more experience, and marty gets a tad older, henry will reign supreme. i think kipper is overrated, Henry is a lot more solid than him.

Henrik is Swedish for Henry...
So he used the English nickname. Is it that big a deal? |

I think Henrik is better than Huet. I think he would fit in the top 5.

It's tough to tell for me right now. He is a very good goaltender and showed that at the international level, but we have yet to see him on a solid, division leading team. Maybe that would show what he's capable of..

My top 5:
Luongo - most consistancy and all around capability Brodeur - not many can compare when his eye is on the ball Turco - consistent, solid, smart, overall very well rounded goaltender Nabokov - unbelievable when he is palying his best, a little inconsistent Kipprusoff - has some slumps but can pull off not many others can one of my favourite goalies to watch when the game matters alot
while im at it i'll give the next five.
Hasek - old and still sooo great to watch, overall very good Miller - young solid goaltender, nice and consistent Giguere - cool guy, great attitude, great skill Emery - Solid. another goalie I enjoy watching when the game matters Budaj/Huet - both have stepped and played tremendously for their team's, both solid and capable in net Kolzig - bit of an oldie but still is solid i didnt like his performance so much thsi year but w.e |

No... not top 5... at least not yet.
Luongo, Brodeur, Vokoun, Giguere, Kiprosoff, Nabokov, Turco, and perhaps Miller are better right now. And Mason and Backstrom were better this year.
Give him a couple more years of development... |

If his not he soon will be, I think hes the best swedish goalie. Rangers wouldn´t gone so far without him.
(Time differance Pickuphockey-Sweden approx +9 hours 1min 5sek......so I can always blame it on Jetlag.) |

Not top five, but after the top one there is a lot of parity.
The only goalie appreciably better is Luongo. But i would say Kipprusoff, Nabakov, Vokuon, Turco, Giguere, Hasek, Brodeur, Fernandez are all ahead of him, but not by a lot.

I don't think he's top 5 yet. Here's my current top 5: 1) Luongo (no question) 2) Brodeur (could be 1 on the list but I have my personal bias) 3) Turco (stellar all regular season AND playoffs) 4) Giguere (solid all round) 5) Hasek or Kiprusoff (when either one gets hot they're almost unbeatable) |

I am shocked no one has added Toskala to the list. He is top 5 in my books. He is hindered because SJ plays a 2 goalie system.
My Top 5:
1)Luongo 2)Brodeur 3)Giguere 4)Toskala 5)Kipprusoff
Next in line are Turco, Vokuon, Lundquist.
So I guess the answer is no, Lundquist is not a top 5. He will be, but not today.

You should put roberto in your future top 5 too....He's still young, and all these goalies will have to deal with being in the Luongo era of goaltending. Give Luongo a decent team, and he'll pull off some 93-patrick roy stuff. your current top 5 is dead on in my books. just put Kipper in 5th spot.
