Poll Question:
Scott Hartnell had a great season, many say it'S due to his pairing to Giroux. But he should stay on a line with him. Any thoughts ? Projected point total ?

There is nothing to suggest that Hartnell moves away from Giroux's line, and everything to indicate he stays. That alone is worth 60 points. Add to that he is peaking (last year could be his career year, but you just never know really), and 70 points is a possibility.
To be conservative, and taking into account a very spread out offense, I'll say 65 points.

I agree, as long has he continues playing with Giroux, there is no reason to think that his goal count will slip below 30, or that his point total will go below 60. So conservatively I'd put him at 60 points, with tons of upside after that.
The Giroux/Hartnell combination is a great example of an NHL pairing that Just Works. A great playmaking centre paired with a hard-nosed physical winger that can score, and really they both benefit from each other. Very similar to Sedin/Burrows in that regard. |
