Yzerman just announced that he will not accept an invitation to Turin. He has not had a great start and probably realizes there are a number of young stars willing and able to take his spot. Probably a good thing for Canada and helps make Gretzky's decision a whole lot easier.

Agreed. Rumor has it that he may pull a Brett Hull and retire midway through the season if things don't pick up. Playing on the fourth line has got to hurt a bit.
