Sergei Fedorov has declined the invite to the Olympics because he wants to focus on getting accustomed to his new team and take care of his nagging groin injury. I can understand where he is coming from on the injury but missing the Olympics so he can focus on missing the playoffs is crazy. He could help his country win gold in the Olympics - what could be better than that?

I hear some players are or will be turning down the team because they don't like the Russian coaching staff. To note: this is what i HEAR.

I thought he would be on board with his buddy Pavel running the show. I just don't see him playing with much heart lately - too bad because he has the talent to be top 5 in league scoring.
