In the west, teams positioned 1 (Chicago), 5 (LA), 6 (SJ), and 7 (Detroit) advanced to the second round.

If the Leafs and Rangers win tonight, it will be the same in the East.

Regardless of what happens tonight, two very good regular season teams (Anaheim and Montreal) have already been eliminated.

This just proves guest that , make the playoffs, anything can happen.

Imagine if the Isles won that OT game ?? who knows....

What if Backstrom for Minn. didn`t get injured ??.....

You wouldn`t think an 8th place seeded team would give a 1st place seeded team so much trouble, but they do.

Montreal won its division, GONE in 5 games....and got s*** - knocked in 2 of those games....didn`t they lose 2 games @ 6 -1 ??.....anything is possible in hockey.

Didn`t a team of unknowns from the USA beat the Russian Red Army to win a gold medal in 1980 ???....anything is possible
