I'm just wondering as to what people think about the layout of talent in the NHL in terms of conference. Put in the top 5 players in each conference and then say which 5 you think are better.

(Exclude Goalies)

Here is what I think...

East
Crosby
Ovechkin
Heatley
Lecavalier
Alfredsson

West
Thornton
Iginla
Nash
Zetterberg
Datsyuk

All in all I think that the east does have more of the TOP talent in the NHL. At the same time I think that the west has more depth then the east. Teams like Detroit and San Jose have incredible depth in their teams. As far as top talent it's the east.

Lose Alfredsson for Jagr and Datsyuk for Gaborik. That'd be about right.

The Oil WILL make the playoffs.

I think East is better for the same reasons as you ED11.

I totally forgot about Jagr...so I agree with you there. But Gaborik can't stay healthy so I can't agree with you there.
