So, I may be crazy and, if that’s the case, be gentle.
Back when shootouts were first introduced to the NHL, I swear on my life that, in the inaugural season of it, the player who scored the shootout winner would be credited with a goal in his stats. Does anyone else remember this? My brother and I were recently arguing about it and I swear I remember this but I could also be an idiot. I’ve researched it before and could not come up with anything. Maybe it was proposed but never went through? I don’t know. Someone tell me I’m right or wrong (preferably right, because ego).
Thanks!
