I don't know if this will work, firstly, not to start of badly though. I'm going to post a photo daily, if I can, about what is going on in the hockey world. I will post the picture and the reason for posting. Feel free to post other pictures or comment on mine. today's picture, to start it all off:

Pascal Leclaire
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the season, Leclaire got his 5th shutout of the season 2 nights ago giving him the league lead. in the 9 games he's played he is 7-1-1
After playing in the NHL, it's hard to watch hockey games.

Can Toskala be the number one this year? Aft5er being yanked, again, he isn't looking good.

Had to add this one. Lindros is retiring. is he hockey hall of fame material?

I'm on the fence with Lindros. I'm probably his biggest fan, but I like to see a guy stay at his peak a little longer than he did. He was the best player (at least physically) for about 5 years, though, so maybe. I'd vote yes, I think.
Tough call. |

When Lindros was healthy he was certainly dominant. However, there are many issues with Lindros that rub the hockey establishment the wrong way (read the Hall of Fame voters). Chief among them of course is his refusal to play for Sault St. Marie and his subsequent refusal to play for the Nordiques after being drafted. As someone else on the forum has said: "If you're drafted, you play."
I'd be surprised if he gets in as soon as he's eligible. He may get in down the road but I don't think it'll be an immediate thing.
Also, I realize that his numbers compare favourably to Neely's and that he's in the HOF.

I think toskala is number 1 material, the leafs just crap out on him, like they do on their goaltender every year

Paul Maurice made a very stupid move by starting Raycroft the first game of the season instead of Toskala. They brought Toskala in to be a #1 goalie and they start Raycroft for the first game against the best team in the league. |

Byan Mccabe returns for the leafs tonight. Will he return in better form? is this the end of his own goals?

Bryan McCabe is the most over paid and one of the most over rated players in the league. He will never get over his career high again. |

First, lots of players bucked the establishment and made the hall - Ted Lindsay, for one.
McCabe isn't as bad as people say. But yeah, the fact that he makes so much money puts unfair expectations on him. I won't spend too many nights crying for him, though. I'd take the pressure for his paycheque. |

The sabres got shutout for the 3rd time already this season last nigth against the leafs. The big question with this organization is: will they make the playoffs? After being arguably the best team in the east last year it isn't looking good for the sabres this year.

Hopefully the Sabres will have a turnaround. I think they will pick a good player by the trade deadline. They just need some chemistry to start clicking. |

The sabres are just an average team again, the only reason they scored so many goals is because, players like vanek would sometimes be on the 3rd line, playing against 3rd liners tearing it up, now with him and roy having to play on the 1st line against other 1st liners, its a little bit harder to put up such scoring production, i think it will be a few years before they enjoy the sucess of high goal scoring and winning again

If you are building a team, and your core players are Kotalik and Vanek, you are officially screwed.
Like many (not all - get off my back) Europeans, they are only good for the occasional highlight reel goal. |

The Rangers finally won their first road game, the last in the NHL to do so.

Avery and Tucker got into a little scrum too. After coming out of the penalty box for giving eachother a little pat on the back, they got into a fight.
Not the fight from last night, I found this out after i saw the little tsn thingy in the corner. You still get the pictrue (literally) though. After playing in the NHL, it's hard to watch hockey games. |

I have to give Tucker a little credit. The guys weighs about as much as a wet dish towel, and he's still a gamer. I can see why some people hate him, but they'd all love him if he was on their team. |

Fly, i wouldn't really want Tucker on my team. I have no apreciation for a winer like him. He has some offensive skills, like Avery, but they are limited.
And for whoever attaked me before, I personlly deleted my Signature for you.
If you've got a problem with me, fine just don't make a whole separate topic on how I suck and I"m so arrogant just because I can relate to a lot of things just from playing in the NHL. Think before you talk please. |

Just for your last comment. How would anyone know who the best team in the league is before the league starts? (i.e. look at Columbus' success, who would have thought?) |

He did out of respect...
After the First game it does not matter what PM does with the Goalies.
Raycroft played all last season with no help, this was PM's way of saying "Thank You" for last season, but this is a new season, and you may not get the same ice time as you did last season...

I think the decision to start Raycroft in game 1 might have had to do with the fact Toskala was extremely shaky when playing in Toronto in the pre-season, while Raycroft played well |
