Parise, not much help still got 20 points. Vanek all hype, dont get me wrong lots of potential and nice hands but he aint as good as people make him out to be. |

I almost always take the North American over the European for the intangibles.
Vanek? He's the worst $10 million player in the history of hockey, or any other pro sport for that matter. |

The sabres rushed him too much. If they still had either Briere or Drury, regardless if they were playing on Vanek's line or not, I think we would be looking at this from a completely different angle. Vanek should be a 3 million dollar player, just the Sabres were worried that they were going to lose another one of their best players to free agency. That's what they get for not locking their players up early enough.

Parise. A more complete player. And he actually scored goals in the playoffs. Vanek is pretty bad defensively. Yeah he had a good plus/minus but he was on the best team and was only on to score. |

I would have to choose Parise. He is quite the player despite having little offensive support teammates. He now has 28 points with the low scoring Devils.
