This guy won the Maurice Richard trophy in 2005-2006, and had 93 points.
Last year he ended up with 69 points in 76 games, not too bad, but definitely not like the year before.
This year he only has 7 points?
Do you think it’s time to let him go, or does he have enough of an upside to wait it out? Hoping he’s not a one year wonder.

He's very overrated. Was just riding Thornton's talent. I'd say he's an average player, no better than that. Look at what Setaguchi can do playing with Thornton... |

Are you guys planning on holding on to him, or letting him go?

A few guys are still available, like Patrick Sharp, Martin Erat, Brad Boyes, Shane Doan.
I'm kind of torn because ideally, none of those guys should be better than Cheechoo, however on paper, they've all got more points.
I guess I have to consider whether or not he's going to turn it up and start getting me some damn points.

To me it would be a toss-up between Erat and Boyes, both having break out years. 24 points for Erat and 20 for Boyes. Personally I would go with Erat because Nashville has 11 more goals than St.Louis and have much more offensive "weapons" than St.Louis so he can light it up. |

Cheechoo has had what, one great season? The first season he began playing with Joe Thornton. If it were not for Thornton, he'd not have had that one great season. (And, I don't often like to say another player was riding on some one else' talent, but in this case it is true.)
Cheechoo will never have another season like that. With or without Thornton. There is only so much Joe can help him.
