Ok, I suppose I'll try and get this forum started off.
The Nashville Predators have just been sold to Jim Balsille and he has decided and been approved by commisioner Gary Bettman to move the franchise to Hamilton, Ontario.
The Franchise has hired you to come up with a name and Logo for the new team.
Post Your Team Name and Logo below. Competition ends Januaray 12th. After the ten days I will determine a winner.
(deadline subject to change)
Jan 10. - Its nice to see a few more entries, although some not entirely Hamilton based. I'm thinking it might have just taken awhile for everyone to catch on to this. If the entries continue tomorrow and on the 12th the deadline will be moved to the fifteenth. After that it is a done deal.

Yea of course, I guess I could have thought of this myself!

Now what you can do with this is use a program like photoshop to create your jersey using images from the web or you can create your own. If you don't have photoshop you can use the paint accessorie.

Okay, here is my first attempt ever. lol.
Kind of sucks, but whatever. It was fun.
I chose the name Blood Hounds, for Hamilton (Hamilton Blood Hounds.)
Logo is of an angry hound, looks somewhat like a wolf. But. :/

My ideal team name would be the Minnesota Sabres 
I've always wanted to see a 'Wisconsin Wolfpack' team. Sorry, I don't have a jersey made, but if I get around to it I'll post it (been kinda busy). I'm thinking it would be red with some white, and a wolf in the middle and the word "Wisconsin" in front of it.
Also if I have time I'll make a 'New Orleans Americains" jersey (as a take-off of the Canadiens), LOL
I posted a Hamilton Ice Storm jersey pic awhile ago at someone's request....but I don't remember which forum it was in.

And here is New Orleans....kinda boring design, couldn't really think of anything. Like the Habs' CH, it has an NO in the middle for New Orleans...it looks like it says 'NO' though, so maybe it could be NOLA, an abbreviation for New Orleans, Louisiana, instead.

This isn't the greatest but it will do. I made this jersey after Hamilton's other only NHL team called the Hamilton Tigers. Well, here is the 2008 Hamilton Tigers.

I have a lot of different names in mind. But, I had to come up with one specifically for Hamilton. It was a rather quick decision.

As Pickuphockey's first Jersey Competition(i think its the first anyway) comes to a close, A winner has been decided. The winner is the Hamilton Blood Hounds, created by the user Irvine . Congratulations Irvine! Second place goes to leafsfan_101 for his "Hamilton Tigers".
A note to users.
Although this wasn't as succesful as I hoped I think that we should have a weekly/monthly Jersey Competition. Whoever is first to come up with a competition idea has the board, they can decide how it should be judged, how long it will take place for, etc..With each competition starting after the old one ends.
