Weight and Finnish left-winger Erkki Rajamaki head to Carolina, while the Blues get right-winger Jesse Boulerice, centre Mike Zigomanis and rights to unsigned draft pick Magnus Kahnberg, along with a first-round and fourth-round draft picks in 2006 and a fourth-round pick in 2007. I think in the long-run St. Louis got the better deal, and at the same time it makes the Hurricanes legitimate contenders. I have a feeling though that they could fall in the second round...kind of like when the Leafs made all the deals for all the oldies so they could go all out.

I guess we'll have to Weight and see.

Ha, yeah I know but how could I pass up that opportunity, he he. It would have been a lot harder to make a pun with Zigomanis!

I thought it was funny. Anyways, I think that it was a pretty good deal for both teams. I heard that the Hurricanes still have another 9 million to spend before they hit the cap. That is some good management!

He practiced with them yesterday and is in the lineup tonight.
