Its amazing to see chris Chelios still going strong at 44 years of age. With so many players retiring before or during this season, he is one guy that seems to have adjusted to the new NHL and still be a force. I don't see him retiring any time soon.
I can't remember where I heard this but apparently he says that in his current state of mind it is going to have to be something physical, like an injury to make him retire. He has no plans of ending it any time soon. He is the second oldest player ever to play the NHL game....next to Gordie Howe.
Just another guy who thinks he's invincible and just doesn't know when to call it quits. After these Olympics, whether the USA wins or not, what will he need to play for? He's won the Cup, he's won the Norris three times... I hope he just gets his bell rung to realize he's done.
LOL! Man you have a good heart. He still gets the job done and athletes today are in better shape than ever. Why not let the 40 year old boundary get pushed a bit? 45 is the new 40!
