I know it's a bit late, but at the all-star game I noticed Rafalski wasn't playing. The day before, at the skills competition, I saw Neidermayer playing. Do you think it's fair for a guy who played 10 games before the all-star break to be playing? In my eyes, Rafalski should've been there. no disrespect for Neidermayer but he just wasn't good enough.

Ellis or Mason?

I believe he was the commissioner's pick.
That's the same guy who chose Dale Hunter for an All Star game.

I think Rafalski said no and then they asked Niedermayer... probably wanted the name factor, and they know he's got the skills.

I think the same happened with Sundin.

Regardless if Rafalski said no or not, I don't think a guy who plays 10 games should be picked by anybody for the all-star game.

I remember a few weeks ago we were having a discussion why Crosby wasn't included on the "top 60 since '67." The Reason is because he had only played two seasons. Surely he's good enough but there isn't enough, evidence that he can keep his play up.

There are a lot of guy I'd pick before Neidermayer such as:

Ed Jovanovski
Lubomir Visnovsky
Matheiu Schneider

Jovo was an all star, but I agree with you Schnieder and Visnovsky are definately worthy... even if you just apply the history factor like they did with Nieds

I tottally agree with you Nash although I think Neid said no and then the commissioner told him that no one else wanted to be in so he just said yes.
