after tonight's victory versus NEw Jersey,Habs are first in the East....

Is this a surprise?

Where the Habs underestimated?

As I have said in many posts about the playoffs,
the Canadiens will pass Ottawa,
and now they have.
I am not surprised,
Montreal is an amazing team,
and they will finish top in the east.

They have great chemistry mainly because they keep young prospects and when they all have played together in Hamilton its going to help in the NHL.

First, I have to say this - I do not like Montreal.

Yes, they have been a huge surprise to me, as well as to many experts, who, like you said, predicted them to be life and death to make the playoffs. BUT . . . we have seen some late season collapses before from les habitants, and the "crunch" games are coming . . . but still, I think the worst they finish might be middle of the pack in the east - which is still amazing, I think.

Great coaching, great goaltending, and some great play from Kovalev, Plekanec, Higgins and Markov.

I am sitting here blowing sweet notes from my own trumpet in reference to this thread. I said the Habs are getting scary back around Christmas time and that my worst nightmare just might come true with the other teams falling apart and the Habs winning the east and coasting into the Cup finals. It is beginning to look like my nightmare is becoming a reality. I am still on bended knee praying to the hockey Gods that I am wrong. Price got hurt tonight but I do not know how serious? Maybe some of my prayers are being answered? I hate those insufferable stinkin' toilet seats!!!!!!!!!

Habs arent going to where. There just like Detroit right now pretenders. I wouldn't be surprised if they got knocked out the 1st round.
Just my 2 cents!

Good defense is good offense!

ahaahhah pretenders? are you serious LOL ... pretty sure detroit has been a power house in the nhl for the last 15 years ... but i guess you have your own opinion and if the habs dont finish first id want them to finish 6th ... that division looks weaker then playin the 8th seeded team
