yeah he used a composite stick
but i beleive it was... 106.7 MPH but then i forget was it al MaCinnis or Al Lafrate who got like 105.6 with a wood stick so he efinetly had a harder shot than kilger

| There is a lot of players that have really hard shots but not that many people know about it because they don't go to the All Star Game. Players such as Ales Kotalik and Chad Kilger. |

That was Mr. Iafrate (with an "i" not an "L" - as in Eye-A-Fraytee). |

Booby Hull, and Al Iafrate (and MacInnis too) have bombs.
Of the current crop of players Kilger and Chara no doubt can rip it. Mike Fisher also clocked 105 mph in this year's Sens Skils Competition. |

My man, Zdeno Chara now holds the "official" record.
With 105.6? I do believe.
So I guess someone can touch Al Iafrate.
I do love how he made the challenge for charity, that showed some real class on Zdeno's part.
My favorite D-man currently in the NHL, #33 - Zdeno Chara. All time, #77 Ray Bourque!

| Actually in this years Oilers Super Skills competition which you can watch the hardest shot contest on Oilers on Demand Sheldon Souray hit 106.7 MPH. Check it out on the site but when you goto the site click on Skills Competition on the left and page 2 has the super skills contest. Just wanted to share that but I think Chara has a bomb! |

I'm pretty sure, if I remember watching games in the late 80's and 90's, it could have been Russ Courtnall....of course we'll never know...he couldn't hit the friggin' net!!  |
