HI guys,
I was just hoping to get some feedback on how to handle a tie in your pool.
We have a standard pool with 15 players : 1pt for goal and 1pt for assist. However, our 2nd and 3rd place poolies tied with the exact same amount of points. What do you guys think is the best way to determine ranking to break the tie - fewer man games played? More goals? Any other suggestions?

If it was not established from the start of your pool what would happen in the event of a tie, there is only one fair way to resolve this. Assuming you arre awarding 'prizes' to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers, their prizes should be combined, and split 50/50.

The Oil WILL make the playoffs in 2009.

Last year two of my buddies tied for first, and we played a soccer game for the winnings. :)
But you could play it like skins and put it towards your playoff pool...that whoever does better in that wins.

I think that is something that has to be established before hand.

If it was not established, I would say that I would more than likely say that it was the person with the fewer man games played.

There is, in certain pools, the chance the each person has the exact same players. If that is the case, then I would say 50/50 split.
