Hello, I am setting up my first league. I am trying to add players to a team but it just keeps going to loading when i type in a player and freezes... any help? any one else with this problem?

You're not the only one, and I've done a few of these. I'm sure the problem will be resolved soon.
The Oil WILL make the playoffs in 2009. |

| Same problem here too. Works only 1 out of 8 times, and hangs otherwise. The system looks so good, and I was excited to get the pool going, but this kinda kills the buzz. Boo. |

| It is still not working... if I make the teams tomorrow night will the points be retroactive? I am tired of closing IE and then retrying and then closing IE and retrying and so on |

Hey gang,
Looks like we had a few hours of very intense site traffic which slowed the loading times for the player input in the admin panel. It seems to be loading ok now (the east coast has dropped off for the night) It seemed to peak between 6pm to 10pm (PST) The mad rush should be past so I expect tomorrow to be ok. We'll keep an eye on it. |

Good question! The 3rd party application we use to load the players as you're typing, does not work well in firefox (it was built before firefox was around) It will work in Firefox but it is INCREDIBLY slow! We're looking into a replacement system but that will take some time. |

step away from the ledge and just add teams when server isnt so busy--like tommorrow or next day
if your poolies dont understand , screw em

Well we've certainly gotten hammered in last 24 hours! Yes the server is getting pounded as people rush to input the teams. It should die off after today since the playoffs are starting. We will upgrade our server for the regular season. This rush of traffic was very unexpected. I guess we finally hit the tipping point.
If you can't get your teams all in at the moment it is ok. Take a break and try again tonight. The stats will backdate all the points to the first day of your pool so no points will be lost. |

Stats are updated daily at approx 2:30am PST. No "on the fly stats" yet. That's a work in progress.

yeah me and one of the members on the site that goes to my school were in the computer lab and we were doing a draft pool and we had to stop because of this problem.
