| I really dont see the Rangers hangin in there for an impressive record. I do think they will pass 500. How boring would that be if Detroit proved to be the best this season. Montreal is fast, I would like to see them win, but I would also like to see Vancouver as the best. Im thinking the flyers will hit a hotspot in a bit. Gagne, briere, richards, carter, I could keep going...If Philly fails, that will be huge. They do have some major D injuries but I think Timmonen will step up. To stay on track with this poll though, I have to say the Rangers are doing the best right now. Ask me in a month again. The Rangers will not be in 1st overall on Nov 15/08 |

| edmonton oilers they have three solid scoring lines a great checking line.they also have 6 really good d men and 2 proven goalies. other teams may have superstars but no team in the nhl is as deep |

| Well I don't think that edmonton oilers have a that great of a team but I know they have great line but they just don't have enough heart to win alot of games. |

Well detroit is Good except the Canadiens like won every game in the NHL right now but I think they lost one game and thats it.

They have young unknown players who have nothing to lose every night.....this is gona be a cinderella hockey story!!!!!! bigger surprise than when USA won gold medal back in the 80s. Toskala for the Vezina, Steen for the Art Ross, Grabovski for the Hart and Pearson, Anthropov for Selke, Blake for the Maurice Richard, Schenn for the Calder, Wilson for the Adams, and Kaberle will win the Norris and the Conn Smythe!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Wouldn't that be awesome, As usual the Wings are the class of the league and will win the west, closest competition in the west is San Jose.
Look for the Habs and Rangers in the east, If Habs had a proven goalie I would say they challenge wings for best in the league.
I vote for the wings, they have little to no changes from a great team last year. |

What a shame to have plotted out a contribution so meticulously, right down to the perfect number of exclamation marks, the subtle, yet oh so effective use of the caps lock key, and of course the ideal emoticon, which brings the whole thing together quite neatly, only to have your magnum opus marred by an errant keystroke. For those who have been unable to negotiate the anomaly, I believe the guest was referring to the Edmonton Oilers. OK. Maybe a few errant keystrokes.

Pittsburgh Penguins
Colorado Avalanche (won 5 straight since 0-3 start)
and the surprise Carolina Hurricanes
for the record its Montreal and Buffalo deadlocked for #1 in my books
fancy that their in the same division
