I'm in a straight points only hockey pool and right now I've got Corvo and Jovanoski for D-men. Neither have had a good start to the season - would you trade either of these guys for the following available?

Weber
Kuba
Hamrlik
Pitkanen
Spacek
Rivet
Rosival
Liles
Robidas

Thanks for any input you can provide.

If someone will give you Weber for Jovo straight up take it and don't look back.

What about Corvo - is it too early to give up on him? I don't want to hold on too long if he is going to average 1 pt per 5 games.

I have Corvo, I'm going to try and wait out on him. Rosival along with every single other Ranger (I'm looking at you Dubinsky/Voros) has somewhat inflated stats because they've played an extra 3-5 games over all other teams. They're stats are already starting to level out. I'd keep my eye on Hamrlik though, the Habs are scoring points and he's getting some PP time.

I'm also looking at Liles right now as Colorado has been scoring a bunch of goals.

I 'll probably give Corvo another 2-3 weeks and go from there. Hopefully it will be clearer as to who his replacement should be (if needed).

At least I know that Jovo has to go

trade Jovanoski - look to pick up Hamrlik or Liles out of your choices. Also do some checking into Rivet he is quarterbacking the PP in Buffalo.

Corvo should prove to be a better choice then what is available so wait him out. If he doesn't improve by your trade deadline then pick up Kuba for Corvo. Kuba should do well in Ottawa

Here is the order in which you should trade:

1. Weber
2. Hamrlik
3. Roszival
4. Pitkanen
5. Liles

Forget the rest.

Just an update - I ended up trading Jovo for Weber and kept Corvo, and so far I'm happy with the results.

I ended up dropping Corvo for Ballard, and then in turn dropped Ballard for McCabe who is now back in mix.

I'd trade jovanoski for rosival and corvo for hamrlik or weber.
