Always over shadowed by the World Junior tournament, the Spengler Cup has also started today. Canada and Czech Rep are playing right now - 3-1 for Canada at the end of the 2nd period. It's damn good hockey! Lot's of NHL players and a real opportunity to see hidden European talent too.

I've always been entertained by it. I love the atmosphere of the games and how great the European fans are. Its a great alternative to the NHL or WJC when there are no games on. Its played in Europe so its a nice to watch an aftrernoon game.

I had no idea watching the game yesterday that I would see a guy like Brad Isbister who I thought was still playing in the NHL
