The NHL Awards will be handed out tonight in Vancouver. CBC is airing the show at 8pm local time and Ron Maclean will be hosting so be sure to check it out. Here are my picks for who will be taking home the big awards:

Hart: Joe Thornton - turned around the struggling Sharks and made Cheechoo into a star.

Calder: Alexander Ovechkin - arguably the best player in the league and definitely the most exciting.

Vezina: Mikka Kiprusoff - no contest

Norris: Niklas Lidstrom - he had a ton of points and is a defensive genious

Jack Adams: Peter Laviolette - the Canes were projected to finish dead last...enough said.
