Just noticed on NHL.com that Mike Green was credited with an assist on Washington's first goal against Florida on Feb 7, giving him 3 points on the night but was only credited with 2 goals here.... anyone else notice this?

NHL.com has Green with 47 points (19 goals / 28 assists) heading into Wednesday night's game.

Just to add that Dave Steckel was credited with the 2nd assist on that goal according to pickuphockey's scores for Feb 7th

Hi Thelonious, thanks for the post. Yes the Mike Green assist was added this morning and will be updated in tonight's stats update.

The NHL originally credited it to Steckel but changed it. This is why we do a rolling reconciliation of all our stats. What this means is we do an audit of all the stats of all of the players in our database in a 7 day cycle. When we reach the end, we start all over again. We continue to do this all season long. This morning we happened to do the Washington team and caught the change.

In addition to the rolling reconciliation, we do a final audit of all the stats at the end of the season after all the games have been played. Only after this do we call the season closed.
