Come one come all to the first annual Pickup Hockey Forum Hockey Pool. As Per bablaboushka's rules:
RULES:
-Every member picks two forwards per Division in each Conference (12 forwards).
-Every member picks one defenceman per Division in each Conference. (6 defencemen).
-Every member picks one goalie per Conference. (2 goalies).
SCORING SYSTEM:
-Goals and assists are one point each, including goalies
-One extra point for a short-handed goal
-No points for shoot-outs goals (that's ridiculous).
-Goalie wins are two points, ties are one point.
-Goalie shutouts are 3 points
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Please submit your picks via this thread by making a post in the following format:

I always found that it is best to go with your first instincts. I try to not over think picks. Mostly go with proven players with good track records and hope to hell nobody gets hurt. I think our lists will mostly be similar except for a few players but I guess those players will either make or break you. |

I will just mention that if anyone wants to change their picks before the deadline set above, feel free to cause I know there are a few I might want to change after examining their preseason. But because I will start registering the teams once the pools become available (to make it easier on myself), I would appreciate that you make a separate post stating the changes you have made to your team after you make them so that I can change them accordingly.

Ok well just wanted to let you guys know I will be creating the pool sometime today and when I do, I'll post the details! I will be creating the teams as posted above unless changes are posted separately in the thread.

Ok I've gone ahead and created the pool for those who have posted their teams. I made the following changes to my own team:
-Naslund out, Demitra in
-McCabe out, Redden in
-Niedermayer out, Pronger in (Daring to be different!)
The pool name is "Forum Supreme" and the password for y'all is "pickuphockey", no caps. I made the scoring as stated above except I substituted ties (cause there are none) for OT and SO losses. Any comments or modifications you want to make to your team, let me know!
