I agree Matt Roberts, except that I would characterise that "party" more as an "out of control celebration that turns into a full-blown riot that shuts down the city for two weeks".
I can only think of one other city that might have a reaction like that . . . and it ain't Crosby winning it for the Pens in Pittsburgh.
I was around for the first Jay's world series win, and the city went nuts - for hockey, it would be greatly amplified. Who wouldn't want to give joy to so many desperate people?

Crosby is young so he will have many opportunities at winning the cup. My patience is short and I need to see the Leafs win a cup.

Ok...if the Leafs win the cup lol...Toronto would be shut down for at least a week! There would be at least 1 Million people in the streets and a massive riot. All the Sens fans that used to be Leafs fans would hop back on the band-wagon and it would just be crazy. Does anyone remember how crazy it was when the Jays won back-to-back?? That...times 10! lol (For those who don't know baseball, the entire city partyin all night long, the Phillies couldn't even leave the Skydome because the fans stormed the team bus area.

I can't even stand Crosby. why don't you just say Malkin, he's Pittsburghs best player.. thats easy for me THE LEAFS.
I'd rather see Malkin and the Pens beat Detroit
