Tampa, Atlanta, Florida, New York Islanders and Maybe Ottawa and Toronto will push for players now, as all need tomorrows players yesterday. And thats just the East. |

So it seems like we got some realistic people and some people really pushing for alot of young draftees to be in the NHL. Its such a huge step that i can only see one or two players come to mind. Hedman could because he is big and has played pro and is not as much of a project as the others. Tampas GM also likes to develop players in the NHL. So I see Hedman for sure.
Iginla for 2010 team captain. Flames for cup...eventually. |

Tavares and Hedman are obviously pegged to be playing this upcoming season. Anyone else will have to work harder to make the teams in their first year. The odds are against making such a big jump, not to many do it and are successful in their first year. Look at Stamkos, almost tanked first part of the season (I think it was poor Lightning management) but he pulled it together for a very strong second half. |

I said 4-6, only cuz you'll get a couple call ups late in the year for those who've done well in the minors and who's teams are out of it by then. Tavares and Hedman are almost certain to see action, whether it's the entire season or not, who knows? Guys like Duchene, Kane, Schenn, Kadri could be call ups at some point, but likely won't stick (although one or two could). Others with size, such as Cowen and Cassian have a shot at making an appearance, but i only see the top two (and maybe Duchene) having a shot at making their teams from day 1. |

Tavares and Hedman play for sure . . . at worst, half a season each, but I am thinking full season for each as they are ready for the NHL.
I see Duchene and Kane getting a shot in Colorado and Atlanta, they could each probably get 10 - 30 games depending on their play.
Past that, I don't think very many will play, unless there is a big enforcer/chippy player farther down the draft that will get a few games here and there.
