Poll Question:
Do you think Montreal will make the playoffs in the 2009-2010 season, if so what standing,8th, 7th etc...

I think they will slip in to 8th to 6th. Even though they are a small team this year they might take advantage of making it this year, Hopefully.

My top 8 that i think will stand is:
1:Philadelphia Flyers
2:Boston Bruins
3:Washington Capitals
4:Pittsburgh Penguins
5:Ottawa Senators
6:New Jersey Devils
7:MONTREAL CANADIENS
8:New York Rangers

| yup. There's only 4 teams in my mind in the east who has a playoff spot for sure Philly, Washington, Boston and Pittsburgh. And then there is like 3 teams who won't make it Islanders, Buffalo and Atlanta. From 5 to 12 is up for grab and it will be a fight till the end. |

All depends on goaltending. Do we see the Carey Price from a couple of seasons ago or do we see the Carey Price who last year lost all of his confidence.
The changes up front are good and should maintain the offence from last year. I am not sure if the defence has improved but they are still good.
Montreal may slide into the eighth spot in the eastern conference. |

No use epredicting anything at this point.
It's too early: no injuries yet, no injuries on Philly or Boston yet, so any prediction is a crap shoot.
If you're asking if they'll make it based on the team they have on "paper", AND based on what other tems have on paper - then I say yes, they should be anywhere from 6th to 8th.
Now factor-in some HABS injuries along the way - then I'll have to change my predication to 8th to 10th.
They don't have any depth if the team suffers injuries to top pleyers.
OR factor-in some Boston / Philly / Pens injuries with no injuries to Habs - my prediction goes to 5th to 7th. |
