can't wait for this game tonite! should b an exciting game, but in the end i agree with u that philly will win this game. i think emery and the flyer defense will have a solid defensive game and b good enough to give the flyers a chance to win. never wanna bet against the ovechkin line though lol. should b a good one! |

This game will be exciting because both have excellent teams and players. I think Washington will win it in OT.

Actually, I don't think it'll be a good one at all . . . with the way Washington is rolling, and with Philly bound to play over-aggressive, I see 3 power play goals and a 5-1 thumping.
Who's in net for Philly . . . Hextall?

Mr. Phlyguy90, as much as you are entitled to your opinion, so is everyone else. I would prefer if I wasn't told to get off any teams 'nuts' in the future.
By the way, I would like to understand how Philly's depth at forwards is better than Washington, because I would say that Washington has one of the top 3 groups of forwards in all of the NHL. Philly, they don't have much after their top 6.
Also, I see 3 decent defenders for Philly and 3 for Washington. After that???? I say that's a wash.
And Emery is an above average goalie. Not amazing and he's a ticking time bomb. We'll see how he handles Philly's first losing streak and if he get's pulled.
I also see a spanking coming Philly's way at the hands of the most dynamic offensive player in hockey today. |

6-5 OT finish with Philadelphia winning in front of the home crowd, Ovechkin potting two only to be outdone by Richards' three... all I've got to say is good call phlyguy.
On a side note, 5 goals, 8 points in 3 games for Ovechkin. Is this nuts or what?? |

Slow start but once the first goal went in, this one went off! The more i see Ovechkin play (which on the west coast here isn't much), the more i actually think the unthinkable, that Gretzky's 92 could actually be broken one of these days! The guy is an incredible sniper! |

just first like to start this post by saying ahhhh haaaa beans! i told ya soooo!!! ok now that thats out of the way lets move on: the flyers depth at forward is deeper because unlike washington most of oue forwards are solid at both ends of the ice...top 6? more like top 8 buddy, once u get past semin, backstrom and ovie theres not much else at all. u see three solid dmen in wash. cuz i dont. i see mike green who is basically a forward that can skate backwards and nothing else at all, who tom poti? your soooo wrong. |

You're talking smack and Philly need to come from behind and needed overtime to win??? Wow.
You might want to take the blinders off and take a look at Morrison, Laich, Bradley, Clark, Knuble, and also notice that Fleishman is injured and not playing yet.
Philly, outside of their top 6 is unproven to me. Not much you can say to change my mind about that.
Again, the offensive of the Caps was as much as Philly could handle. In the end, it was a career game for Carle and a brilliant game by Richards to keep the Flyers in it long enough to win it. I will take my medicine. The flyers won, congrats. |

Phlyguy....You didn't say that Philly was gonna crush them, i'll give you that, you simply predicted they'd win, and they did, fair enough. However, i'd go easy on the gloating when your team managed a late power play goal to force overtime, not to mention scored 3 of their goals on the power play! You won't get that kind of production every night, nor will you get 10 power play chances either!!! Regardless, kudos to you, you predicted the win. Hope you had a few bucks on it? As for Green, i'm so tired of people claiming he's a forward who can skate backwards! Did you consider Paul Coffey similar? What about Ray Bourque? Al MacInnis? Why can a guy like Datsuyk be a brilliant offensive player AND good in his own end but a defenseman can't be similar??? |
