Even that thread title is funny! In case you haven't heard the Ducks swooped down and absolutely desptroyed the Sharks last night. 5-0 And just cause I can't resist it here is a quote from babs from another thread...

Oh darn, the Sharks lost to the best team in the league...

Yeah the Sharks played a horrible game (with the exception of Nabokov for once) and they honestly deserved it. Not bad though, they went 21 games without being shutout and to have it done by the best team in the league, not so embarrassing.

Maybe I should remind you that your Flames also lost last night... 5-0 or 2-1, it's a loss either way.

Game 1 of 8.

See what happens...they bounce right back. Even with Cheechoo and Michalek out. 6-3 over Los Angeles.

Never lose faith.

Would they slow down?

No loss to the Ducks will slow them down:

-Won 11 of last 14
-3rd in the NHL in points
-Toskala/Nabokov a combined 124:06 of shutout hockey
-Showing they don't have to rely on Cheechoo and Michalek to win, they are a COMPLETE team
-If only Anaheim would stop winning... only one other division that San Jose wouldn't be leading right now (Northeast)

The bandwagon is fuller than ever but I'm comfy in the front.

All of this having played more road games than anyone in the NHL.

10-5 on the road, not too shabby.

Flukey win? Please elaborate. I watched the game on TSN and while it wasn't the most exciting game I've ever watched, the Sharks brutally outplayed the Wild and deserved to win by much more than that. They even held the Wild to their season low 16 shots for.

According to the American Press it was lucky

Well one might consider it lucky because it bounced off his shin pad before it went in, but that's what happens when you drive the net hard. You have to be good to be lucky. A flukey goal doesn't necessarily constitute a lucky win.

Well see if Crosby had scored it, it would have read "Heroic effort by teenage superstar helps lift Penguins over Wild".

Well, only loss number 4 in regulation for the Ducks, but it came to the Sharks. It's no 5-0 (4-3) but from listening to it on the radio, it sounded like an incredibly exciting game to watch, as it should be. I would absolutely love for these two teams to play in the Conference Finals and leave it up to the Hockey Gods to decide.

What a division.
