One, which "nation" does the National Hockey League refer to? The 6 original teams were in both Canada and the US. I'm guessing it was just supposed to cover for both countries.

Two, why is the skate the penguin on the Pens logo is wearing a figure skate and not a hockey skate?

That looks to me like the old-style blade that skates used to have.

True. I guess it's the old blades, I was thinking that too, but it's hard to tell.
