Honestly, this is the best thing I have read in a long time. This guys is straight up awesome. What better way to tell your team that you are not happy than by dumping them.
And to get money for it to boot!! Brilliant.
And no Alex, this guy is not worse than a person who boo's their team. This guy isn't a hipocrite who boo's his team today and cheers them tomorrow. He's not a fair weather fan. He supported the Leafs as long as he could and he has had enough.
I find this guy way more classy than a team booer. |

Only thing I hafta say is shoulda done it years ago, and imagine scared a Habs fan would buy him? Like the hell any Habs fan would buy a leafs fan.
Although I am border like thinking about being a skeleton/leafs fan waiting for the cup for Halloween ahah |

I think this was an excellent donation to charity. Only a classy leaf fan would use his teams undesirable play to raise money for a local charity. Its too bad he is a Stars fan now because he could have kept it going to get more monies to many charitable organizations Fans across the league should admire this guy and maybe do the same things for their community. Of course the only charitable organization in Edmonton is the Oilers. |

Cute enough, made me chuckle. Gives the sports blog writers something to make jokes about.
BUT . . .
. . . in my eyes, he was never a true fan. True loyalty cannot be bought, bragained for or stolen.
Good Riddance.

Zing!!!!
Touche my Good Man. Nicely done.
I agree with Slozo as well in that a true fan's loyalty is Priceless. However, I still have more respect for a guy that decides to stop cheering for his team over booing them.
It also would have been a way better story if the guy made more then $25 for the charity. |
