Will Brendan Shanahan end up in the HOF?

To me it's a no brainer. YES! He's a premiere goal scorer with over 650 tallies. 19 seasons with over 20 goals - 12 seasons over 30 - 6 seasons over 40 - and 2 seasons with 50! A scoring machine who was by definition a "power forward"
Add in over 1300 points, a king clancy trophy (for leadership) 3 Stanley Cups, 8 All-Star appearances, some serious longevity, and involvement in growing and improving the game, and you have a Hall of Fame inductee. First ballot I'm sure.
However........the shoot out? Really Brendan? You're serious? |

| He belongs in the hall for certain. Hope it doesnt cost Gilmore or Oates their shot though. These guys are all on the same level in my opinion. |

All of this and what 2489 PIM. He also holds the unofficial record for Gordie Howe Hat Tricks with 9. He gets my vote for sure. Don't forget the Shanahan Summit also his Triple Gold status, Olympic Gold, World Championship Gold, and the Stanley Cup!!

This question does not even need to be asked. Surely one of the favourites and up there with the best in my time. His accomplishments well documented. He is in on the first ballot, no question.
And.. I believe he has 17 Gordie Howe hat tricks, not 9, but I could be wrong. |

Yeah, I also heard on the radio that Shanny held the record for Gordie Howe Hattricks with 17.
Yeah, he has to get in the HOF of course, first ballot, for all the reasons mentioned above.

can someone give me one argment as to why shanny should NOT go to the hall? .................... crickets crickets ................... to me Shanny is the definition of what a hockey player should be

Sure fire first ballot, he abd Cam Neely were THE power forwards.
