No Ovechkin and no other. Wow gotta give it to yah, glad your anonymous. Offensively Thornton. Defensively Datsuyk. All around Crosby maybe?!?! I hate to say it but he may be the best of both worlds. Just not the best at either.

This topic is severely lacking in a lot of quality players.
How is Ovechkin omitted? How is Gaborik, glass-crotch notwithstanding, omitted? How about Thornton, who is currently leading the NHL in points? Guys like Parise or Datsyuk, who get great offensive numbers while being some of the best defensive forwards in the past couple of years, are also missing...
How are Sundin, Emery & Tavares even on the list? They're either retired, average or unproven.
