Strombo is taking over Hockey Night in Canada?!? That's quite the change, but I think it could be a great move. Ron McLean will still be there in a limited capacity. Coach's Corner will keep going!

I'm not shy to admit that I'm not a big HNIC fan. Mainly because of Don Cherry. I just can not stand watching what the guy has to say half the time.

Anyway, on to Strombo.

I like what he has made of his career, but I don't picture him as a host of an NHL hockey panel. Mainly it's because I picture the guy who had piercings all over his face still. Or, maybe it's because part of me still associates him with Much Music. I don't know. I just don't see it.

Hopefully I'm wrong, and end up really like it. Because I just don't picture it in my mind. lol.

Not happy about this. Don't like his style and find him rather insincere in his interviews. I can't watch his program, it's so painful. There must be a better option.

Yeah Leigh. There is just some thing about him that does not speak hockey to me.

He can do his "celeb" interviews, or go back with CNN. But, hosting HNIC is just not a fit for him in my mind.

Awful move by Rogers in my opinion. Who knows, may be they will prove me wrong. But, I doubt it.

My favorite person to watch interview players (especially hockey players), but even other athletes is Cabral 'Cabbie' Richards. The players he interview love him (thus, they open up and are more real), and he does not ask the stereotypical questions. Plus, he adds a comedic approach and just brings joy to what normally, are dull interviews.

Would he be a good 'host' for HNIC? Maybe not. But, he's certainly my favorite for sport interviews. By far.

Hell Yeah. I would definitely watch any show hosted by Cabbie.
